Marching
season requires a lot of preparation and assistance from
the parents. We are in need of the following:
 Pit
Crew: Parents willing to help load instruments
on the bus along with getting pit (percussion) instruments
on and off the marching
field.
Uniform
Crew: Parents willing to be at the school at
least one hour before departure for competitions to load
band
and color guard uniforms, hats, etc. and make sure that
all are in good condition. Help with alterations and repairs
is appreciated. Every band
student must have clean white socks for each competition.
Marching
shoes must also be kept clean for each competition!
Fund
Raisers: During November and December the band
has an annual holiday fruit sale. Dates will be announced
later this year. Help will be needed on delivery day to
unload and sort fruit. Other fundraisers include McDonald's
coupon books, cookie dough, candles, etc. We are always
loooking for fundraising ideas, so please pass along any
suggestions or ideas.
Meetings:
Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month
at 6:00 p.m. in the band
room. All parents are encouraged to attend.
